Eating to Thrive
Therapeutic essential oils are an amalgam of all of the aromatic oils contained in a plant, but eating essential oils is not recommended. Putting essential oils in the mouth is potentially dangerous, as some contain toxins; but the main reason for not ingesting oils is because they are much more effective if used topically, on the skin.
Any oil in the mouth is at the mercy of Lipase, the enzyme which is there to break down oil before digestion. When we eat, say, a raw carrot, not all of the oil is extracted in the mouth and some oil will make it through the digestive tract. That is why we have Lipase in the colon (from the duodenum) in order to extract anything remaining of food value.
As some of those oils make it through the system, pathogens of corresponding resonant frequency are eliminated. In short, food eaten is much less likely to be chewed sufficiently to extract all of the oil whereas essential oil is in an available form for the Lipase reaction.
Know What You Are Eating
Honey is dependent on the plants the bees collect their nectar from to make the honey. That is the reason herbalists have always recommended eating local honey for people with allergies. Many plants contain oils that have an equivalent resonant frequency to fungi, as they are the single most threatening type of pathogen to all plants.
Common bacteria are next on the list of importance and plants with greater longevity shield against them, and also include viral counter-agents.
The following pages contain charts of the most common vegetables and fruits and their equivalent pathogens. This is simply to demonstrate that a varied diet will protect us from many different pathogens.
